Twist on a technique!

For Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge, I decided to try something different, using my Koh-i-noor colored pencils on something other than white paper. I use Papertrey white paper, and had recently purchased their kraft paper to try. I really like the way this came out!
I colored the flowers the way I normally would, layering various colors and then blending with odorless mineral spirits. I played around with different colors first on scrap paper, since the results are (obviously) different than on white paper.
But since I love the way this blue works with the kraft color, my choice of blues and greens was pretty easy!
Thanks for looking, and have a great Father's Day!
stamps: Lizzie Anne, SU!
paper: Papertrey Ink, sei Dill Blossom
