A bit of a change....

Hi everyone....just checking in to let you all know I will be taking a break from blogging and designing and online creating for a few months.

I have been very blessed with wonderful opportunities, wonderful friends and supporters for two years, but my personal circumstances are going through a bit of a change right now and I feel it is best for me to resign my design team activities and put blogging on hold through the at least the end of the year.

Please please please continue to check in on the wonderful companies I have been so fortunate to have worked with! I know I will be checking out all the new releases, blog hops, and other wonderful and creative things happening in blog land!

I am sad....but know I will continue to find tons of inspiration from you all...thank you for stopping by!

Angels Landing Wednesday in stitches!

Hey everyone...it is Wednesday and time for another Angels Landing feature!  This week the Design Team is featuring stitching, and I elected to go with faux stitching since I cannot sew a straight line!  truth be told, this is the first time I have even done faux stitching, so be kind!

I chose another image from last week's release, Seasons' Tweetings.  These are such pretty bird images!  I colored them with copics and highlighted the leaves and ornaments with Atyou Spica pens.  For the stitching, I just pierced holes then connected them with a white gel pen.

I rounded off the corners of the card as well, just to be a little different! Be sure to stop by all the design team!  I know I always love seeing what they have made and come away very inspired!

Afer an insanely busy weekend, I put together a very quick and simple recipe card for this weeks Monster/Autumn Bash recipe theme. Fondue is always fun! and here is a recipe for Cheddar and Hard Cider fondue! So while your kids are out trick/treating, keep the adults happy too with a warm snack!

I used some distressed paper from Julie's Scrapbook Store at your Door, along with some very pretty fall diecut flowers and pearl accents, also from her store. My recipe book is getting very full!!

Its a winner!!

Yay! The winner of the free images from Angels Landing is.....

Jasmines Cupcake

Happy Saturday everyone!  What a week....snowed here the other day!  I was expecting a rainy bleck day today but am sitting here looking at blue skies and sunshine!  yay!!  Okay, it is cold but....how about a bright and cheery card from Annabelles Stamps to cheer us all up!

After using digital images a lot lately, it is so nice to stamp!  I really like to stamp...this is a stamp from the Annabelle Stamps set called Jasmines Cupcake.  I decided to pair it with some SU! DSP called Kaleidoscope because the colors remind me of candy and cupcake...yum!  This is another wonderful set from Andrea!  Don't you just love the sprinkles too?  The metallic base really sets off the colors!

Inside I used one of the several sentiments in the set along with a little cupcake stamp. I love the colors of this card! The images are so fun to color, too.

I have gotten a sneek peek at Andrea's Holiday sets and they are SO fun!!!  They will be available November 1 and I hope to get some peeks to you all soon!

Budget tip!  I also used a Fiskars embossing plate for the base layer.  Have you checked out the Quickutz website?  they have TONS of things on clearance...some for only a few dollars...I just placed an order for a few things and received $100 of dies  for only $20!

paper:  SU! Tempting Turquoise, SU! Kaleidoscope
embellishments:  Sprinkles

New Release!!! Angels Landing Autumn Tweetings and Penguins!

WOW!! Welcome to this months Angels Landing release Blog Hop! and what a winner it is!!! Today the design team is celebrating two new releases from Judi:

When I saw this one cardinal image, I immediately went back in my memories to how much my mother loved birds and collected bird ornaments for our Christmas Tree. I decided to use one of the cardinal images in two projects this week. First a suspended glass ornament!

I sized the image in Powerpoint, and printed it on acetate. To color it, I used sharpies and some marvy waterbased markers. I used some jewelry filament to suspend it in the ornament and added some snow glitter to the ornament as well.

My second project is so fun...and the options are limitless (almost!) I used grafix rubonz to create my own rubons from printed images! Very easy to follow instructions....I printed the image on the sheet as directed and colored with Bic markits. After applying the adhesive sheet, i was able to rub it right on this glass ornament!

These images are so perfect for Christmas ornaments. I picked up the plain glass ornaments at ACMoore for $1..I need to get more! I see many gifts being made!

To celebrate the new releases, I'm offering some Blog Candy. One lucky winner will receive free download links for his or her choice of any two image sets shown in the Digital Stamps Products section of AngelsLanding.com. To be eligible to win, leave a comment on my Blog Hop post before Sunday October 18, 2009, at 11:00 PM Eastern USA time. I'll use random.org to pick a winner on Monday October 19. Please remember to check back again then to see whether you've won.

Be sure to visit the other designers in today's Blog Hop, since there are also two more Blog Candy offers. Good luck. Your next stop on today's Blog Hop is the lovely and talented

Time for another Stamping Boutique challenge! Rhonda has a challenge this week to make a card using pink, turquoise and glitter. Well, it is a cloudy dreary cold day here today so my glitter does not show up very well.

Tracey has some great new images at her store, and i think these Laundry ones are so unique! Just imaging seeing this on your neighbor's clothesline! haha! Have a great day!

Recipe Challenge Monday! Celebrate your heritage!

It't time for another Recipe Challenge!  This week we are celebrating our heritage and what better day (for me!) than Columbus Day to  celebrate with one of my favorite Italian dishes, Chicken Florentine.  I love spinach!  Julie has added all sorts of new food-themed items to her store, under their own category so if you are looking for some food themed scrapbook items you will find lots of inspiration.

One of the papers in her store is this really pretty green paper with spices and it reminded me so much of spinach!  I paired the paper with the pretty red and green flowers, brads and pearls.

I am in simple mode lately with my creations!  Hope you do not mind!  Be sure to check out the other challenge participants.  I always  love seeing what they have come up with! and my recipe book is fillling up!! yay!!

Hey a winner and a DOH!

I totally spaced yesterday and forgot to mention the giveaway! Carolyn picked a winner from each of our comments to win a few image from her Busy Beauties Boutique! and.....

STACIE!!!! Crafty Princess....is the winner from my blog!! Stacie, watch for an email!

Pendant Park

I love this set from Stampin Up, and I just had to case this card made by Emma. I decided to use the in color Rich Razzleberry. Once I figured out the measurements it came together very quickly! Inside I stamped two of the other images from the set, the sentiment and the oh so cute park bench with the squirrels.

The card is a 4 1/4" square, which means it will fit in a normal A2 envelope without extra postage! I love doing square cards and that makes this even better!

Hope you are having a great Sunday!! Lots of neat projects planned for this week including a new Angels Landing release on Wednesday and new products from Scrapbook Store at your Door tomorrow!
