Clear Blue Sea

This is my first acetate card! Very challenging (for me, at least!) I was inspired by the Day 2 Virtual Cruise picture posted by Karen, our Cruise Director, of an underwater scene with beautiful tropical fish and coral.

I chose three fish from a Starving Artistamps set I have, and layered them over Doodlebug glitter paper. The inside is finished with the same ovals glitter paper layers, with an additional layer of white paper on which to write a sentiment (right now I left it blank). Also, to highlight the edges of the acetate, I edged it in turquiose chalk ink.

I added the rhinestones because the card looked a bit unfinished to me. I have to admit, I like the photo of it better than looking at is in person! What do you think?? Any suggestions? Changes?

Thanks for stopping by!

stamps: Starving Artistamps
ink: versamark turquoise chalk, stazon black
paper: doodlebug glitter, Duralar Acetate
embellishments: stickles, rhinestones
