I really miss doing the Sketch Challenges at SCS! This one is particularly challenging, and I knew I wanted to make a card using the Black Magic technique. If you are not familiar with that technique, it is pretty easy! It works best with a solid stamp. You stamp on black paper with white ink, then color the image (over the white ink) with colored pencils.
For this card, I colored portions of the white stamp image with blue and green colored pencils. I used my nestabilities to cut out the image, and simply layered the squares with tan using black as the background.
Lately I have been trying to spend time decorating my envelopes; I am also trying to start finishing off the inside of my cards.
Not sure why, but I am!
Stamps: SU! Friendly Flowers
paper: DCWV, Luxe
techniques: black magic, cuttlebug embossing
