Fishing

I have to admit, one thing I really do not understand is fishing. But that being said, I thought this fisherman from Doggone Stamps is just so funny! It is tough to see in this picture, but I covered the coveralls, boots and gloves with Ranger Glossy Accents because they reminded me of those slicker overalls and boots!

I found the sentiment through an online search. I love Stephen Wright's sense of humor and knew I had to use this quote as soon as I found it. I just printed it off my computer.

Monday My giveaway will be announced!!! Sorry the picture is crooked!!

stamps: Doggone Stamps fisherman

paper: Daisy D, DCWV

technique: colored pencils, ranger glossy accents

I love that card! I actually do like to fish; the first stamp set I ever bought was a fishing stamp set :)

I have gone through the Dog Gone site with a fine tooth comb and cannot find that fisherman stamp for anything. Can you direct me to it?

Lauri, I have been away FAR too long!!!! I can see I have a lot of catching up to do because you have been creating your hiney off! I LOVE this adorable fisherman card:o) You have colored him to absolute perfection...and I mean PERFECTION!!!! I also love the witty sentiment...I never catch anything so I suppose I represent the "standing on the shore like an idiot" LOL! I also love the fish charm and the creative way you displayed it on your card. What a fabulous card!!!! You know I love it!!!
Hugs!

This is really cute!! I don't understand fishing, either, but I know a lot of fishermen who would get a kick out of this card. I do love the fish charm; he must be the one who got away!

Super cute card. I think fishing is good for the soul because you just sit and have time to think and reflect on just about everything. Happy Valentine's Day.
