Flowers for You

What a great find I made last week! Seed packets for 10 cents at the dollar store! I should go get more! I thought a double pocket card would be a great way to present a little gift to someone of flower seeds.

This pretty Designer Paper is part of the SU! set Pink Flamingo. There are some very very very bright sheets in this set, but some pretty ones as well. I particularly love this Cameo Coral pattern.

I put the seed packet in one pocket, and a tag in the other for a little note. I am doing a couple of craft shows in the next month, so I am going to make some of these for mother's day. This week coming up, on the 23rd, it will have been 18 years since my mother passed away. Hard to believe it has been that long; my daughter was only a year old. My mother loved flowers and loved birds. Her favorite flower was Lily of the Valley, so I think I am going to plant some when the weather is warm enough. I bought her a collection of bird ornaments and use those every year on my Christmas tree. Sorry as I digress, but this time of year brings me back to many years ago.

Hope you are having a lovely spring weekend, wherever you are!

these are such a sweet gift, would love to know how you made them.
I don't think the amount of years take away the memories of people we love and lost. Today is 12 years since our 7 month old niece died, and I think about her most days.
People important to us don't ever leave our hearts.Planting the flowers is a great idea.
many hugs

This is my first visit to your blog. You have some nice photos here -- I'm going to spend some time looking around. :)

What a wonderful card/gift for Mother's Day. My Mom and I have brown thumbs, but Grandma had the most colorful yard in town and we loved to walk through gardens with her. She would be 109 this month and we know that she is the one watching over whatever plants we do have.
