I stumbled across this great post by Lynda of various ways to use the SU! Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die and was wowed!! After borrowing a friends folder...I knew I just had to get it. The options are endless!! Such a classy design, and it integrates so well with the Fifth Avenue Flowers set.
Here are my four variations...that I will be bringing to the monthly class I teach this evening!
This next card uses an embossed image on vellum. After embossing, I colored on the back using my watercolor crayons and aqua painters. In this card I used Rose Red and Regal Rose. So easy to color when the embossed edges hold in your ink! I simply layered the vellum on white cardstock, adhering with Zip Dry.
This tri-fold card is my favorite! I started with a 12 x 5 1/2 inch piece of sahara sand that I scored at 4 1/2 and 8 1/2. Then I embossed opposite images on each end, and cut away the top for interest.
Inside I layered a piece of white cardstock that I had stamped with some images from the Fifth Avenue Floral set. Wrapping it up with white ribbon, it is a very elegant card!
Last, but not least, I inked the folder with Bashful Blue ink pad, and embossed the image on Pink Pirouette. Don't worry, any leftover ink washes right off! I layered it on Mellow Moss for a very pretty effect!
Hope this inspires you! Get this folder !!! You will not be sorry!!
