It may look difficult, but a diorama card is really really easy!! and what a WOW it creates when the recipient looks inside! For this week's Design Team focus, the Angels Landing DT is showcasing extra-special birthday cards...cards with a WOW!
I followed the tutorial on SCS that you can find here. I modified the size to focus on a 6" square cardfront. I used my circle nestabilities to cut out the two circles; the other circle is 1/4" larger than the middle circle, so you can see the inner DSP a bit better.

I used three birds from the Mini Bears and Birds set and colored them with markers and aquapainters. I also used a sentiment from that set, along with a Happy Birthday from the Mini Tags set. I debated a lot on how to embellish the card, but decided to go simple with just a ribbon because the paper is so pretty! I used the Flock Together DSP paper from Stampin Up.
Be sure to stop by the other DT members; you can find their links over to the left! I am sure you will find lots of inspiration!! I hope you found a little here, too! Thanks for stopping by!

Lauri, adorable card! What a great way to show off a birdie get together! Great idea to create a diorama card - one thing I haven't tried yet but will have to since seeing your wonderful creation.
Alma =)
Such a sweet card, Lauri. I like the way you've mounted the birds at different levels, too. I wish I could hold your diorama in my hands and turn it back and forth -- I'm guessing the depth and dimension would be intriguing from multiple angles.
Lauri, this is the cutest card ever!!
I love every perfectly placed detail!! What exquisite work!
Oh, Lauri, this card is SO sweet! I love the birdies and the colors!
Fantastic card! Those little birds are just adorable! You're right about the ribbon being enough embellishment -- the paper is so pretty.

How cute! I love diorama cards and this one is a great example. Your little birdies are so sweet.
This is darling Lauri! It really is a wow card. I like that your opening is a circle because it kind of looks like a little bird house!
