An inspiring weekend

What a fun two days at Stamping Around Connecticut! We did five great projects..and there were tons of giveaways! I won a stamp from Unity Stamps, and a set of background stamps from Tim Holtz! Plus, we each received a gift certificate for a $19.95 stamp set of our choice from Gina K, along with a wonderful discount from ElecticPaperie! oh..plus zipdry (love it!) and a package of rhinestones from EP! If you want a look at the projects we did, head over to Julia's blog. She taught the Friday night class and took great pictures of all the projects!

Being so inspired today, I created this card using one of the flowers from SU! Fifth Avenue florals and copics! After this weekend, I realized I have to get my own copics...no more borrowing my daughters...she will not leave them here when she goes to school in the fall! I followed this weeks Color Throwdown challenge, of Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss and Real Red. I need to do more of these color challenges..they are more fun than I realized!

I cut the flowers out and mounted them on a piece of cuttlebug embossed paper. The card is actually very simple, and really rocks with these colors!

Hope you all had a great weekend! The weather has been gorgeous!! I was in Joann's this afternoon and...yes....autumn stuff is out. But then again, I was there looking for holiday stuff...I have some fun holiday projects coming up!

stamps: SU! Fifth Avenue Floral
paper: SU! Tempting Turquoise, SU! Kiwi Kiss, SU! Flock Together DSP
accessories: SU! Real Red Ribbon
tools: Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Atyou Spica
