Cool , easy technique!
Thanks for everyone for all their wonderful comments on my post yesterday! Definitely helping me get out of my slump!!!
I totally cased this design and technique from the Hero Arts blog. I used stamps from a set called Sweet Blossoms and Swirls by Hot off the Press and created a background, stamping in black ink on kraft paper. I used post it notes to block off the center, and stamped a sentiment from another HOTP set called Whimsy Doodles.
I colored the flowers with Kohinoor pencils, and added some white gel pens dots. and that is it! I love the way the colored pencils look on the kraft paper! Think I will be using this technique again and again! My week off is coming to a close, and of course I did not get done half the things I wanted to .. but a week away from work is good! It must be getting close to the end of summer, because all week the squirrels have been up in the trees above my house gathering, and all sorts of things have been raining down on my roof (and my head when I am outside!)
Hope you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!

The coloring is wonderful on this card - it looks like markering (dare I invoke the name COPIC?) Excellent job! TFS!

Hi Lori, what a bright and cheerful card, a lot of coloring to do there, but it looks fab. Looking forward to working with you on the Angels Landing DT.

Wow, that coloring just pops!!!
adorable, great card, love how colorful it is.
Gorgeous coloring! I really thought it was a pre-printed paper - you did such a great job with it. And.... it's so happy!
beautiful job with that tech. and the coloring really pops the flowers off the screen/card
What a happy card! I love the colors and the action all the swirls give it. Nice!
Hugs,
Barb
I immediately thought Hero Arts when I saw your photo and then I read your post :) I've gotten so much inspiration from the HA blog and wish I'd participate in their weekly challenges more.
Love the bright cheery flowers against the kraft background!!
