Angels Landing Wednesday: It's a Sketch!

Happy Wednesday everybody!  Today's Angels Landing Design team project is a sketch challenge!  Judi provided us with four versions of a sketch to use for creating a card!  I chose two images from the new release, Autumn Tweetings, and decided to use two different versions of the sketch.  Being able to resize digital images makes it SO easy to use for different sketches!

My first card uses this cute little bird on a branch.  I printed the image on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils and my aqua painter. The sentiment is also from the set, and Ijust printed it on some of the DSP in the paper pack.   Here is a closeup of the bird.

I am still a bit of a novice with coloring, but I do find the more I do.the easier it gets!  For the other card, I chose a different orientation of the sketch and this pretty acorn birdhouse image.

I also printed this on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils and aqua painter.  The paper for both cards is last year's fall paper from SU! .  I am so glad I still have some!  I love it!

 

I also embellished each card with some crystal leaves I picked up at Joann's.  In both cases, I used a coluzzle to cut around most of the image, then cut out the pieces ourside the circle/oval by hand.

These new releases have SO many images in them!  I have not used all the images yet in the Autumn Tweetings set...and have not even started using the HoHoHolidays set!  Hope you enjoy this bit of autumn!  Be sure to stop by the other Design Team members. I know you will be very inspired!
