A Very Pink Birthday

Hi everybody! I am in need of a birthday card for a friend, and being up early (thanks insomnia!) I found myself inspired by SCS CC182 (Monochromatic) and this weeks' Mojo Monday sketch. I had gotten out of the habit of doing these challenges and it really feels good to start again!

I am still slowly building my SU! cardstock colors, so I decided to go with Pixie Pink since I have both the cardstock and the inkpad. For stamp sets, I went with Birthday Whimsey from SU! and Warmest Regards. Pretty simple from there! The presents are stamped pink on pink on the top layer, and topped with a ribbon from Michael's. The sentiment is stamped in white.

The bottom layers are stamped white on pink, using a HOTP border stamp (thanks to KwernerDesign for getting my head around how to use these kinds of stamps!) I used a cuttlebug folder for the white panel, stamped the birthday cake on white, layered with the pink, added a few squiggles and Voila!

I finished the inside of the card as well as decorated and lined the envelope.

Hope you all have a great day!
