Jumpstart your brain! I've been tagged!

My friend Bela over at Bela's Creating Place tagged me to tell you 6 Random Things about myself. I thought I would do this a little differently....6 random things about my childhood!

  1. I played with trucks when I was little, not Barbie dolls or more traditional girl toys.

  2. When I was in elementary school we were not allowed to wear pants!

  3. I used to go home for lunch every day from school.

  4. I loved to ride my bike! and back then I used to walk to a local soda fountain about a half mile from home and no one worried!

  5. We had lots of stuff delivered to our house...the milk, italian bread (warm every morning!), water, the fuller brush man used to stop by....

  6. Stores were closed on Sundays due to Blue Laws so we always visited one of our grandparents every Sunday for dinner.
Thanks for Bela for the tag! and for today's Jumpstart challenge I tag each and every one of you to think about your most favorite memories from your young childhood. What is the first thing you remember? How young were you? What do you miss most from those years? What has changed the most in the world?

It seems to me that during my youth, especially in the 1960's, we got a lot more snow than we do now. I made this card remembering the old sled I used to have, wood and metal. The stamp set is from Crafty Secrets and the paper from Scenic Road.

and to my friends in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving!

and to all my friends here in the states, Happy Columbus Day!

Hope you have a great Monday!

Aw Lauri the card is absolutely fab, love all the elements and the layout.
Well I had to stop and pause for a while, whilst reading your six random facts re your childhood. You said you were not allowed to wear pants!!! Well over here in blighty pants means underwear and not trousers, so I took a sharp intake of breath and then realised you mean trousers. So my dizziness made me laugh. Good job I paused to get the real handle on things!!

What a fabulous card to bring back memories! Yes, I think there used to be more snow "back then" compared to now! I'm ready for it! :)

OMG I remeber not being able to wear trousers to school. We had to wear snow pants under out dresses in the winter. When we were able to wear pants, we still couldn't wear jeans. Boy we've come a long way. BTW, I love your card. So sweet!
