Cased....24-7

I rarely ever totally case a card, but I did with this one!! This is Tuesday's Color Challenge from SCS, and I sort-of used the sketch from I heart to Stamp. But I totally fell in love with this card from the SCS Gallery and just had to case it!

So, the color challenge was Old Olive (or Kiwi Kiss), Pumpkin and Summer Sun (all SU! Earth Elements colors). I had to make a Thank You card, and knew I wanted to use the SU! Set Friends 24-7, so when I saw Sharon's card, I knew I had to use it for inspiration!

I made the background paper with one of the stamps from this set by stamping it in Versamark and then clear embossing it on Old Olive. I layered this on top of Summer Sun, and added a strip of summer sun embossed with the dots Cuttlebug folder.

The stamps were colored with SU! Markers; the bird is done in Not Quite Navy with the branch and flowers in Chocolate Chip and the leaves in Garden Green. I used my nestabilities dies to cut out the bird image, and layered it on a nestabilities Pumpkin scalloped oval. The ribbon is Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon and I stamped the image on Very Vanilla and used Very Vanilla as the card base.

I love this sentiment! I colored it with an Old Olive marker as well, and stayed with the Very Vanilla and Pumpkin theme. Such a fun color combination! Thanks to Sharon for the inspiration!
