A friend asked me for several Easter cards today, including a few "masculine" ones. So I interpreted that as " No bunnies!". Good thing I have this Loads of Love set! I colored the lady in the truck cab to look like her mother (who I think will be mailing this card). Of course her mother is 97....so I doubt she would actually be driving this truck.
For the designer paper I used several sheets from the Delicate Dots set in the Saleabration catalog. I colored the image with colored pencils, and used crystal effects on the eggs for a little texture.
So I have a few more cards to make for her tonight and tomorrow, including another "masculine" card. Any ideas? I am a little stumped for masculine non-religious Easter Cards!!
stamps: Stampin Up Loads of Love
paper: SU! Delicate Dots, Bashful Blue
accessories: nestabilities, crystal effects

I love this card Lauri! It's perfect for a guy! Really great easter/yet not too foo-fooey for a man. :D Great job! Oo! And I love your photos in this post - really great shots!
Cute card! Mostly my Easter stamps are religious or cutesy. But I have a Chip from Rubbernecker who is just a big crazy chick who could be a good image for a masculine card. How about a bunny colored dark brown to look like a chocolate rabbit? Put a big googly eye on him? Good luck!
As always your coloring is just fantastic! I think coloring is the best part of stamping (: Your pictures look great....any tips?
Very cute card --- Ok for a guy, great card. Either way, I like it! It is hard to make guy cards especially since I gravitate toward the girlish stamps. So I fall back on masculine papers, lettering, and stamps that have trees, buildings, vehicles, sports, or animals. Which reminds me, I need to make some guy cards!
This set has always been a favorite of mine, but I don't use it often enough. Great job coloring! Using that striped paper the way you did is so clever!
love the little colored eggs! as always..beautiful creation!
Soooooooooo cute, Lauri! Love this card .. and that set!
Ideas for the Dreaded-Masculine-Card?!? You must be kiddin' ... but I use screwhead brads a lot ... that's kinda manly, no?!? LOLOL!!
Hey, Kiddo, I meant to tell you that I lived in CT for-evuh before I moved to Sunshine. Hamden is one of my old stomping grounds ... I'm thinkin' right now of a Glenwood cheese dawg ...
Cute cute cute!! Love those eggs!
I have always liked this stamp set. I think this is a great card. I love the thought that you put into it, and your commentary is a hoot! Best, Curt
Oh, I think masculine cards are so difficult! You've done a marvelous job with this one! It's sure to be a hit!!!
