An Acetate card

I am seeing a lot of acetate cards these days, so I thought I would try one! I have a package of die cuts from Technique Tuesday, and this one is actually perfect for a branch! It is also the perfect size for an A2 card front. I happen to have a package of acetate ShortCuts that I keep forgetting about...so I thought I would try this out! I colored a bird from the Angels Landing Mini Bears and Birds set and propped up on the branch. This was my first try at printing digital images on watercolor paper and really like the result! I watercolored this bird with my SU! pencils and aquapainters.

I colored the branch with SU! Creamy Caramel. Tough to see, but I watercolored a piece of paper with a blue wash and printed the sentiment on it for the inside. I am pretty happy with how it came out, although I seem to be struggling a bit with how to finish off my cards..not sure what is up with that! Past few cards I have made seem to be missing something! Do you ever feel like that???

Thanks for looking!

Such a fun card, Lauri. Your watercolor technique looks terrific on the images, and that die cut worked out perfectly for the branch. It all came together so well on the acetate.

What a great card, Lauri! I haven't made an acetate card in awhile and yours just gave me a push to try one again. Love the added flowers and bling.
