I have challenged myself....

to do more challenges....but I am a bit challenged in the challenge department....especially color, so...I am going to really try to do the Color Throwdown every week. The colors for Color Throwdown 51 are Lavender Lace, Garden Green and So Saffron...wow..I thought about this one for a long time before I attempted it! I thought it would be a good time to try some pastel chalk technique, and I decided to go with the Pullin Pastel technique as shown on Stamp TV. I used Garden Green cardstock as the base, and added Lavender Lace and So Saffron chalk. Then, using Versamark, I stamped this image from Razzle Dazzle and it pulled off the chalk!

The card still needed something, and I did not really have any ribbon to go with it so I added this cuttlebugged strip of cardstock..not sure I really like the way it looks, though. I also shaded the mat by leaving the nestabilities die in place. Pretty cool technique and I should try it more often!

Thanks for stopping by! I have had a busy weekend so I hope to catch up on everyone's blogs tonight!
