Angels Landing Wednesday Anything but a card!

It is Wednesday again, and time for another Angels Landing project! This week the Design Team is doing Anything But a Card. I have had this Provo Craft chipboard purse sitting on my desk, waiting for some "clothes" for a few months and I knew that I wanted to decorate it for this week's project. I used the Simply Flowers set, and following some inspiration from Godelieve on vellum flowers.

After covering the purse with DSP using Modge Podge, I layered some vellum flowers embellished with pearl centers. The flourishes were cut using a little sizzlits die. I replaced the plastic handle that came with the purse with a piece of ribbon. This would make such a cute purse for a special occasion, or used as a package for a pretty gift! Perhaps some note cards!

If you are interested in the technique, visit Godelieve. She has LOTS of wonderful tutorials for vellum! Be sure to check out the other Angels Landing Design Team members too! You will find tons of inspiration for your own projects! and remember, next Wednesday is the monthly release blog hop!!

This is a wonderful altered project idea, Lauri. Those vellum flowers worked out beautifully for embellishing it.

Great handbag Lauri, I love how you've raised the flowers and used big pearls for the centre, it is a real glam bag.
