Do you ever go through your stamps and find one that you may have never used? This is an old Penny Black stamp, "Opening Night", that I got about 10 years ago when my daughter was taking dance lessons. I am not sure I ever even used it!

I stamped it up and colored using pencils and Stickles. Following Beate's weekend challenge, I used a simple layout having Cuttlebug'd the white layer. I added the ribbon to help finish it off.

Easter already!!

Continuing my Spring Fever theme, here is a Happy Easter card I made with a few more of the Elzybells stamps I recently received. I just love coloring these ! I hope the weather is a little nicer where you are today. Just a little overcast here today, not as warm as I would like! But I was happy to not see snow when I got up this morning!!!

I think this card matches Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge, too!

The Easter Express

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I needed to make another Easter card, so I used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #37 as inspiration! The image is another RAK I received from April, so I am not sure where the image is from.

I started with a standard A2 card, and started layering..and layering..and layering! Last year, I purchased DCVW Spring 12*12 Stack and I have so much spring paper! This card has three different papers from that stack, as well as two of the coordinating solid colors! I have enough of this paper to last me for years!

I colored the image with my colored pencils, then used the mineral spirits for blending. The small circle Happy Easter is stamped with Versacolor aqua, and comes from a $1 set I bought at ACMoore. The brads just added something to the other corner to balance it out.

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge

Now that I am addicted to sketch challenges, I decided to try Beate's Weekend Challenge! I do not drink, and could never make a martini, but I love the retro feel of martinis and the sentiment is a hoot!

So, I had to buy the sentiment...and then had to buy a martini stamp to go with it...then I found the background stamp...and then one day while on a weekend trip found the martini vellum paper and...after sitting in a pile on my desk for about a month, voila! A Sketch Challenge that fit the bill!
